Emily and Tom have the most beautiful family! I’ve known them a few years now and first met when Tom booked Emily a surprise photography one-to-one workshop with me. So it was amazing to be invited to capture them all as a family together in the stunning Norfolk countryside this spring. We played in the wheat fields, walked through meadows and blew dandelions in the gorgeous sunset.
So…you’ve got engaged in the most beautiful way…you’re super excited about the big day and choosing that perfect dress. But it can feel pretty overwhelming. Where do you even begin?!
Enter the wonderful Jenny from Hunters Hall, a stunning all inclusive barn wedding venue in Norfolk, to share her awesome tips with you on where to start to avoid the confusion!
Sometimes there are just no words…babies are just the most beautiful little people. You sit and wonder at the experiences and adventures they’ll have, what they’ll look like as an adult, who they’ll become. The whole world at their finger tips. So to capture this time is honestly so precious, and I adore it as a photographer. Meet baby Jacob.
I was so excited when Natalie and James told me their plans for their wedding day late last summer! We went for a visit to the venue the week before in the torrential rain, constantly hoping that the rain would subside for their day! Thankfully it did and they were blessed with glorious warm sunshine all day. Natalie is so creative and made so many of the decorations you can see in the images below. And James is a fantastic vocalist! It was so wonderful to hear him sing with his band that evening.
Pete and Laura are the sweetest. most kindest couple. Their wedding day was on one of the hottest days of 2018 but incredibly beautiful. Southwood Hall made a gorgeous backdrop, the barn, lavender and gardens! And I was truly honoured to have the lovely Diana Hagues Photography second shooting with me during the day!
Watching Heidi and James get married under the enormous Norfolk coast blue skies was something I’ll never forget. Cley Windmill is an intimate wedding venue - max like 25 guests! But the beauty was that these guys were literally surrounded by those they loved the most. It was intimate, relaxed and stress-free. They got married in front of the windmill near the reed beds, had bubbles instead of confetti and we had the most awesome mini session down on the beach at sunset!
I first met Michelle and Nick a few years ago, Michelle’s mum had bought her a gift voucher for a family session with me. So that year we caught up at Wells Next The Sea and had the most fantastic shoot. At the end Michelle turned to me and asked if I’d consider being their wedding photographer - to which I obviously said a huge yes!!
Donna and Mark are one fo those couples who you immediately feel friends with, like you’ve known them or ages! We met up quite a few times before their wedding so on the day everything was so relaxed and happy. We had a glorious autumn day, filled with warm Indian summer sunshine which was literally the icing on the cake of a wonderful day.
Earlier in the year I photographed this lovely family in a beautiful private garden of a stately home in the Norfolk countryside. The blossom was still on the trees, the air was still and warm (do you remember those amazingly out of the blue hot days last May?!) and their little girl was simply adorable <3
Sophie and James are the warmest, loveliest couple so it was truly special to be asked to assist in capturing their day (an amazing Robin Hood themed day!) with the super talented Megan Duffield.
They both got ready at Narborough Hall in Norfolk and we were all on tenterhooks as it was pouring with rain all morning! Cue hundreds of weather forecast checks! Thankfully the rain cleared just in time for them to go ahead with their magical woodland ceremony. Flowers by Narborough Hall, props and styling by The Little Lending Co.
Super in love couple Amie and Steven were married in May at Sussex Barn, a beautiful venue just outside Burnham Market on the North Norfolk coast.
They had planned a fun, tropical boho themed day full of colour and vibrance. I second shot these guys for the amazing Megan Duffield so started the day with the boys for a change!
You know when you meet a couple and after chatting with them you are just so excited for their wedding day - like it ticks all the things you love about your job?! Let me introduce you to Ollie and Kelly!
They had the most beautiful late summer wedding with the sun shining as they said their vows outdoors in a gorgeous field at the Fire Pit Camp in Norfolk. Their day was to be relaxed, fun and full of festival spirit and it was the most perfect venue. I adore couples who break the rules, who aren't afraid to do it their way. These two are that couple! Here's just a tiny selection of images from their awesome day...
Last Summer I was invited along to my first ever styled shoot. To say I was excited is an understatement! My lovely friend and super talented fellow photographer Megan Duffield Photography had spent endless hours arranging the day and all the wonderful wedding suppliers involved to create an Indian/Boho inspired shoot at the stunning Narborough Hall, Norfolk. You can see lots more images from this shoot published in the 2017/18 Norfolk Brides Magazine!
James contacted me last Christmas, keen to book a photo shoot in with his fun loving family - so we scheduled in for the spring, hoping to get some warm weather! I honestly laughed so much through this session - from the giant bottle of Tabasco sauce sitting proudly on the table through family stories and piggy back rides in the garden!
I first met Gemma when I was studying Animal Science way back as a 16 year old after high school. And as time passed we sadly lost touch, but through the magic of Facebook we managed to reconnect and she introduced me to her wonderful parents and family! So when her lovely mum Elaine invited me to photograph them all at home this spring I was incredibly excited! With all the grandchildren together they had fun in the garden in the May sunshine...
I've followed and photographed Bobbie and her beautiful family through so many amazing times in their lives - through the preparations and after the birth of her baby girl, celebrating milestones and each year as a family together. This year we decided to go to the beach for some fun in the sea, playing in the sand and generally having an amazing time together on a sunny Sunday morning this spring. I'll never forget this particular session - having arrived at Brancaster I was told that the beach road was flooded and cars were not able to get to the car park - disaster! But, as I thought about what to do I remembered how light I like to travel so parked up in the village, grabbed my cameras and strap and set off on foot! I'm so thankful it was warm and sunny as I waded through the water, cameras held high above my head! Love these adventures!
